Jake McGuire has been involved in theatrical productions on the Central Coast for the past 18 years. His career started acting in the chorus of The Wizard of Oz at The Studio of performing Arts in 1993. At age 15 Jake was accepted to and completed the summer training program at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena. For the next 6 years, Jake acted, sang and danced in close to 50 shows at different theaters spanning the Central Coast. Jake began to assist numerous directors locally and directed 9 musical productions and 7 straight plays before moving to New York City in 2003. He worked off-Broadway for the Irish Repertory Theater as their Technical Director and performed on Broadway in the Chorus of a Concert Version of "Brigadoon." Jake is very excited to be back on the Central Coast and to be a part of The Great American Railroad show. He is keeping his hands full directing this show and operating his own theater space in the Village of Arroyo Grande called "The Spot" which has recently been renovated and drastically improved.
